When Ebrima Camara signed for Jalaan FC from local Gambian club Bakau United nineteen months ago little did he know he could one day spur the club to the Premier League.
The former U-20 striker was in cloud nine when he downed Al Musannah with his two goals, a result that proved enough to secure Jalaan place in the Omani Professional League.
In a promotion play-offs that never lacked ecstasy, Jalaan needed to stun their big brothers from the top flight, who had to go through the relegation play offs after an unprepossessing display in the just concluded term leaving them rooted in the relegation play-off spot.
Masterminded by Ebrima Camara, Jalaan got the job done plunging Al Musannah to further trouble as the Gambian two goals condemned them to relegation.
Camara who was also man-of-the-match, scored in the 22nd minute before Al Musannah equalized via Mohammed Al Gasani with a delectable free-kick.
The tense match looked headed for extra time until Ebrima pounced again this time in the 93rd minute to give his club a crucial win.
