Gambian player, Bacari Kambi Njie, went under the knife Bacari Kambi Njiefollowing an injury he picked up during the course of a league match.

The 25-year-old striker, who trades in the Bulgarian premier league, suffers from ligament damage after he was roughly marshalled in a match for his club, Cherenomore.

The left-footer clutched his ankle grimacing in sheer agony as he was stretchered before being helped to his feet by a club official. It was not until a scan was conducted that the extent of his injury was determined.

He’s not expected to be back until some weeks. At the moment the attacker who was snapped by Spanish Laliga club Espanyol in 2012 before being released a year later, remains upbeat after undergoing a successful surgery.
