Slovakian ex-league champions MSK Zilina are evaluating tie down history-making Gambia striker Momodou Ceesay, Foroyaa Sport can report.
The 27-year-old though did not rake up the goals as he should during the three terms he’d spent with the Slovakian giants but surely changed the club history with his goal against Sparta Prague securing Zilina qualification to the Uefa Champions League group stage for the first time.
Ceesay was a revered personality amongst fans before he jumped ship in 2013 choosing to move to Kazakhstan, effectively bring his love-affair with Zilina to an end, at least it was thought.
However Zilina are considering signing the Gambia international in what could be the Scorpion’s second coming in Slovakia but on a strict condition he proves his fitness.
Ceesay spent less than a season with Israeli’s Maccabi Netanya featuring for only six hundred and seventy-nine minutes before bout of injuries plagued him consequently truncating his spell there.
Zico returned to Gambia to speed up his recuperation and appears on course to walk into Zilina’s team roster again. Club Sports manager Belanik said they would welcome the Gambian back but insists coaches will have to first monitor his physical condition.
The Slovakian league commenced last weekend as Zilina drew 2-2 with DAC in their league opener.
