Lieutenant Colonel Omar B. Bojang, is back as spokesperson for the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) since on Thursday, 9 March 2017.
Speaking to the spokesperson yesterday at defence headquarters in Banjul, he denied reports that he was removed pointing out that he was instead sent out of the country for a mission. He added that he served as PRO from 2008 to 2012.
He explained that after arrival from the mission, he was attached to the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) where he had served both Lt. Gen. Massaneh Kinteh and Ousman Badgie for 4 years.
He said, “Our doors are all open for the media because we want partnership for our national development. Let us reconcile as brothers and sisters for the interest of our country. We cannot do what the press can do”.
Before Lt. Col. B. Bojang took over the office, Lieutenant Kemo Kanuteh was deployed to the pyblic relation office to serve as the GAF spokesperson. He disclosed that Lt. Kemo is now the deputy PRO of GAF.
