Gambia’s Modou Barrow is proving a hot property for ELP club Modou Barrow 2Swansea City’s U-21s as he grabbed a brace in the 5-2 thrashing of Nottingham Forest.

The 21-year-old is yet to get a call to the A team but is showing signs he deserves picking as he extends his goal tally to four in his fifth match for the U-21s.

Swans U-21 who were visitors at Forest raced into an early two-goal lead with Henry Jones scoring the opening goal.

Modou Barrow rattled in the second six minutes on before Oliver Burke close-range finish pulled a goal back for Forest. However, the Swans did rest on their laurels and gave the hosts another shocker with an Adam King’s 25-yard drive making it 3-1.

Resumption  had the Swans again adding slat to a split wound with Kenji Gorre slotting the fourth before Modou Barrow latched on to a cross rounding off the goalie to poke home for a 5-2 final result.

Modou joined the EPL club from Swedish second tier Ostersunds FK 1st September on a deal reportedly worth about 1.7 million pounds. He’s yet to be called to Swansea City’s big team but is expected to be fielded in Cup games to start with.
