WILL THE AGRICULTURE MINISTRY CONSIDER EXTENDING TRANSPARENCY IN RICE DISTRIBUTION?

QUESTION OF THE DAY

When the Ministry of Agriculture was delivering 100 bags of rice to Tanka Tanka Psychiatric Hospital, they invited the media to cover the event. These 100 bags of rice is part of the consignment of the first batch of 1308 tonnes (26,180 50kg bags of rice) donated by the People’s Republic China. Will the ministry show transparency in the distribution of the remaining 26,080 bags of rice, particularly since Mr Hassan Jallow of the ministry told the media that the rice is meant for every Gambian, especially the needy?
