Fired-up Pa Dibba adds to goal tally

Gambian-born striker Pa Amat Dibba is showing no sign of slowing Pa Amat Dibbadown just yet this season scoring the winner for Sundsvall adding to his goal season tally in the process.

The 26-year-old has been invaluable spurring Sundsvall’s promotion campaign to the top tier along with strike-partner Elkund.

Swedish second division outfit Sundsvall needed to maintain their winning streak against eight-placed Varberg to retain top spot and it was the Gambian and potential Scorpion man who rose to the occasion to cannon in the decisive winning goal four minutes from time.

Result earlier ticked one-all with Mellqvist inadvertently scoring an own goal to cancel out his club’s early lead in the 55th minute.

That goal didn’t only evened matters but was catalyst in securing the hosts all points with Dibba blasting from close range to the back of the net for a 2-1 score.

The strike increased Pa’s scoring feat this term making him fourth highest goal scorer in the league on twelve goals, three behind joint top scorer Eklund and Silva.

Sundsvall needs to win their remaining two games to be assured of automatic promotion to the Swedish premier league next season.

Dibba has played twenty-five times for the club this term.
