Tapha Tine, the man from club Baol in neighbouring Senegal, is expected in the country in December.
The reason for the wrestler’s visit is to honour an invitation extended to him by wrestling promoter Champions Sound.
Champions Sound is on the verge of staging a cracking duel between Kunta Kinteh of club Roots and Bul Faaleh and named the flag after the Senegalese ace.
“He will be coming to the Gambia in December. He has spoken to him and he had agreed to come over,” A Champions Sound promotion spokesperson told Foroyaa Sport.
27-year-old Tapha –dubbed Takci Rip – bit the dust in his last combat against the then reigning champion Balla Gaye II last year.
