NORMAL CLASSES AT BRUFUT UPPER BASIC AND SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL HAVE MEASURES BEEN TAKEN TO ENSURE THAT THE SCHOOLING OF THE STUDENTS IS NOT DISRUPTED?

On Thursday, normal classes continued at Brufut Upper Basic and Senior Secondary School unlike Wednesday when students reacted to information they received that their school ground was to be taken over by some private individuals, consequent to a court order. The situation is now calm.
A lasting solution that will not harm the future schooling of the students would help to stabilize the situation. Foroyaa is not privy to information relating to the case.
Nevertheless, where it is not possible to overturn the decision of the court through appeal, negotiation with the successful plaintiffs would be necessary leading to compensation in kind or cash, in order to save the future schooling of the students.
One would expect successful plaintiffs to be considerate and show flexibility and not to insist on their strict legal rights.
One would also expect that before a building permit is issued, ownership of the property would be verified.
We hope that the problem would be resolved amicably.
Foroyaa will get in touch with the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education to find out how they are handling the situation.
