Real de Banjul league champions and Banjul United FA trophy holders clash for the Football Federation Super Cup at the Banjul mini-stadium this Saturday.
Banjul United piped capital rivals Hawks Football Club to the gong thanks to Pa Omar Babou last-gasp strike –the first club to clinch the accolade in the first attempt while Real fend off competition from Gamtel to secure the domestic prized asset.
Tomorrow’s encounter will be the meeting of new capital rivals with both sides based in the country’s administrative headquarters.
Traditional start of the league has always featured telecommunication outfit Gamtel –record four times winners of the FA title -but TaphaManneh’s charges will be reduced to spectators after being booted out the tournament last season.
