Foroyaa has reliably confirmed the release of Mr. Ebou Jagne, a relative of the late Captain Njagga Jagne, who is purported to be one of the insurgents who were killed in the 30 December incident in Banjul on the 30th December, 2014. He was released on Sunday, 11 January 2014 after spending ten days in detention at an unknown destination.
However, the disappearance of Omar Malleh Jagne up to the time of going to the press was still an unpleasant fact to relatives.
The source disclosed that Mr. Ebou Jagne is a nephew of Captain Njaga Jagne, a retired member of the US army, who was killed during the incident. The information stated that Ebou Jagne was arrested at his Lamin residence since Thursday, 1st January, 2015 at around 2pm by about three plain clothes security officers.
The source further informs that during his detention, the relatives did not know where and why he was detained.
Asked about the fate of Omar Malleh Jagne, the source said Omar, a brother to Njagga is under arrest. The source further said that he is resident at Latrikunda Sabiji, adding that since his arrest his family has not been given any information regarding his whereabouts.
