Brikama tops league

Brikama United have gone top of the league having smacked struggling Wallidan on  Birkama united 2Sunday.
The Sateba side subjected the Blues Boys to their third defeat of the current campaign who, having secured promotion to the top tier, are yet to stamp their foot mark in the ongoing season.Wallidan –one of the country’s oldest outfit in the championship –have managed just a single win in six matches and sits second from bottom in the standings.
For their comprehensive victory, Brikama climbs at the summit on goal difference though on equal points (12) with Real De Banjul who were earlier held to a drab goalless affair.
With a change at the league driving seat, Gamtel slumps to third place following a one-all stalemate with sixth-placed Interior. Serrekunda United in another fixture, acrimonious run continues with a 2-1 defeat to Hawks.
Bombada slides to fourth on ten points despite their mauling of Banjul United 2-0 which consequently applied the breaks on the FA Cup winners’ impressive streak.
