Bombada Football Club fans were found wanting by the Organising Committee of league for deliberately booting balls out of the Brikama Boxbar stadium confines in their match against Hawks engaging in a time-wasting scheme. The club’s fans were previously caught in similar acts, it has emerged.
And in its usual week league news update, the GFF called for an end to such actions and warned that it will impose a ‘severe penalty’ if there is any repeat.
The Bombada fans are not the only ones to draw the ire of the Federation, as the Steve Biko fans were also warned to desist from unacceptable behaviour.
‘The Organizing Committee of the GFF expressed its disappointment on the behavior of the fans of Steve Biko FC, especially the women/girls folks. Their supporting behaviors are uncalled for and are advised to desist from such. This unruly incident happened during their match against Sere Kunda East Bi FC played in Sere Kunda East Mini Stadium on Friday 6 February 2015….’ a GFf statement read.
While Biko fans get a scolding, East Bi have also come in for some dressing down after their gaffer Mikailu Secka was sent off and banned for two matches with two of his other players Sankung Ceesay and Edrissa Bojang slapped with three and two game suspensions respectively for foul-mouthing.
