Gambia ranked 168 on Fifa

Gambia Scorpions yesterday made bit of a climb according to Fifa’s March ranking.Gambia
The Scorpions who are without a coach since Bonu Johnson’s contract nullification by the Youth and Sports Ministry climbed one step moving up from 169 to 168 in the world ahead of Bermuda, Pakistan and Laos, virtual football unknowns.The ranking based on teams’ activeness including friendly matches has
seen Gambia –one time 100th best national football team – on a free
fall on the ladder for lack of test matches with the rating only improving this month.
A similar slight upping follows in Africa with Gambia ranked 46th in a 54-nation standing topped by Afcon title winners Ivory Coast.
Meanwhile, Germany leads the way at the top in the globe ahead of Argentina, Colombia, Belgium and Netherlands on 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th.
