The Blue Boys have endured a checkered run of performance in the first round managing only two wins and three draws in eleven matches.
Having played second fiddle football last term Wallidan are however determined to stay in the top flight as they seek to turn a new leaf in the second round of the championship. One goal was all that settled it in a clash of capital rivals.
Elsewhere Bakau United settled for a one-all stalemate against third placed Ports Authority. The draw puts the red side of Bakau at least on a slight better footing as they look to escape relegation.
In another fixture Serrekunda United polished up their chances of beating the drop by subjecting joint-third placed Bomada to their fourth defeat of the on-going campaign.
