Samger Football Club is on the road to securing promotion to the top Samger Football Clubflight after beating Tallinding United to go top of the standings.

A lone goal was all that settled it for Jane Joof’s charges as they picked all the points against Tallinding-based United.

Steve Biko –who simultaneously got demoted along with Samger the previous term – are also trailing the path to securing their status back in the country’s top division after smothering Lamin United with three unanswered goals.

The Giant Killers sit second –three points behind Academy Boys Samger –while Marimoo christened from Sea View Football Club continues to grab attention in their first season at the country’s second division as they occupy third place.

The team’s recent position comes on the heels of a slide after losing 3-2 to fellow contenders Blue Star.

Young Africans, in our round of the second tier, managed to pick their fourth win of the campaign in fourteen matches after slugging it out with league new comers and bottom-placed Gambia Immigration FC.

Finally, KGI sashayed past East Bi FC on a 1-0 score.
