Samger Football Club are new leaders of the GFF second tier having Samger Football Club1 leapfrogged Steve Biko at the top of the table.

Coach Jane Joof’s Academy Boys were forced to a goalless draw by second from bottom KGI but that nonetheless still sees Samger lead the way on three points raking thirty-six points in sixteen league matches played so far.

The Bakau Giant Killers, Steve Biko FC, have stayed top for most of the season before a recent slip-up saw them glide down.

They now occupy second place but ensured the gap between them and Samger is closed down to three pints after a narrow 1-0 win over league newcomers Blue Star who are fourth-placed.

Marimoo christened from Sea View FC are third on thirty-one points after marauding 5th-positioned Lamin United 3-1. Tallinding United, elsewhere sashayed past 2009 FA Cup holders Young Africans with only a lone goal enough to do the damage.

Finally, Gambia Immigration FC picked up their first win of the season in sixteen domestic matches hammering Serrekunda East by three goals. East pulled a goal but it proved wholly insufficient.
