The 41-year-old Swiss-born gaffer who has stints with Sion Fc’s reserves, the Ethiopian national team and the Central African Republic will lead Gambia’s Gabon 2017 qualifiers.

Duration of Savoy’s contract who reportedly has UEFA coaching diploma has not been disclosed by Football House in its announcement yesterday.

The Ex-Xamax Nuechatel head coach’s appointment brings to an end months of speculations over the coaching void of the Gambia national team.

He becomes the Scorpions’ third coach in the space of one year after Luciano Mancini and Bonu Johnson.
