Striker Sowe is the subject of an intense transfer battle with clubs
fighting to secure his services, Foroyaa Sport can report.
Sowe is currently out on rehabilitation at parent club Chievo Verona
of the Serie A after sustaining an injury during last season’s end.But despite the Gambian undergoing a recovery programme, he remains
still a much sought-after property with clubs, mainly from the Italian
second division, queuing to acquire his signature.
Latest to join to the trail of clubs in the chase is Modena in the Serie B.
Modena survived the relegation play-offs after an unprepossessing
display the previous campaign.
The side’s poor show is blamed on the club’s strike force – a
department that’s no stranger to profligacy in front of goal. And in a
bid to reinforce the attack, Modena are weighing up an offer for the
Sowe endured a nightmare season coupled with limited game time. Any
transfer being sanctioned will hinges on the team that can offer him
more playing minutes, a thing Modena are ready to prioritise.
However they face competition from fellow second tier side Trapani who
are also hovering over Sowe.
