Further effort was made by this reporter to know the details of the charge by contacting the Army Spokesperson. The GAF PRO said he was busy but told this reporter to contact him the next day (today) for him to clarify matters.
It could be recalled that Lt. Col. Bojang was previously charged with four counts of ‘Abuse of office’, ‘Conspiracy’, ‘Theft’ and ‘Giving false information’. He was acquitted by the lower court in Brikama on three counts but fined on the other to pay the sum of D50, 000.00 which was settled on the spot by his family.
However, he was rearrested while leaving the court room by the operatives of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) who accompanied him to the court.
Lt. Col. Bojang, according to his family, was detained at the NIA detention center in Tanji, Kombo South before being transferred to Mile 2 prison.
