The Scorpions are due to cross daggers with the Indomitable Lions September 6th in what will be Gambia’s second game in the campaign to reach the African Cup of Nations Gabon 2017.

And ahead of the would-be thriller contest at the Independence Stadium, Greece-based Gambian midfielder Mamut Saine has made himself available for selection to coach Raoul Savoy.

Speaking to Foroyaa Sport in a serialized interview from his base in Athens, Greece, the 21-year-old former Seaview FC playmaker said: ‘I’m a Gambian if I get the chance I will surely come and give out my best for my country.’

On the Gambia-Cameroon game, Saine –who played at Fokikos and Kardista in a single season last term – is buoyed of the Scorpions picking the points.

The ex-Gambia U-20 midfielder who had a three-year stint in Tunisia and, was once chased by FC Porto, is busy with his new club AO Chania on pre-season as they eye promotion to the Super League.

Prior to joining Chania on a two-year contract, he had two concrete offers from clubs in the Greece top tier.
