The former U-17 goal-poacher as a result of the abrasion will remain on the peripheries for four to five months according to reports, while continuing his rehabilitation process including gym work-outs in Italy.Momodou has five goals in eleven matches this season.

His club Kairat meanwhile, continues to rival leaders Aktobe for the domestic league title and for a spot in the Uefa Champions League qualifiers. They are second-placed after twenty-two matches at forty-two points –a point below Aktobe in the standings.

Both sides now have to slug it out through a play-offs system after the end of the regular season and win top spot to lay any claims on the title.
