Mamut Saine is due to sign for Finnish club RoPS’s after terminating his contract in Greece, Foroyaa Sport understands.
The 22-year-old was at Greek second tier side AC Chania months ago whom he joined on a two-year deal only last year before his decision to switch to Finland.
The playmaker was out initially injured but has recuperated and now looks set to sign the dotted lines after impressing on trial.
He is on the verge of undergoing a medical this week and that would be followed by formal signing of the contract.
Saine’s transformation is one that has come at a blistering pace considering he was in Tunisia only two years ago.
With this move, likely to be completed in few days, will see the former Gambia U-20, star for the side when the Europa League qualifiers kick-start after RoPS finished the previous campaign second behind surprise champions SJK.
The Finnish Premier league starts in March and RoPS commence their run against promoted PK-35 Vantraa.
