Mamut Saine has reached an agreement with Finnish giants RoPS signing a contract after passing his medical examination yesterday afternoon, Foroyaa Sport can reveal.
Saine pens the deal with an option of extension at end of the coming season. A deal was long agreed in principle even before the Gambian was let out for a trial after the club got impressed over the midfielder’s impressive showings while in Greece.
The 22-year-old was at Greek second tier side AC Chania months ago whom he joined on a two-year deal only last year before his decision to switch to Finland.
The playmaker was out initially injured but has recuperated full and now looks arsenal ready for a fresh challenge.
Saine’s transformation is one that has come at a blistering pace considering he was in Tunisia only two years ago.
With the switch, the former Porto transfer target will be able to feature for his new club in the Europa League qualifiers.
The Finnish Premier league starts in March and RoPS commence their run against promoted PK-35 Vantraa.
