High Court denies Ex GNPC MD bail again

The Banjul High Court yesterday 30th August 2016 rejected the bail application of the former Managing Director of Gambia Momodou Badjie, former GNPC MDNational Petroleum Company (GNPC) Mr. Momodou O.S Badjie, who is now on trial.

Justice Ogar Edward Eneji, the vacation judge, in his ruling before a jam-packed court room of family members, loved ones and sympathizer, said the bail application made by the counsel of the applicant has no merit and he decided to dismiss it. Continue reading

Private GSM providers deny blocking social media sites


Two of the main GSM service providers in the country have indicated that they have nothing to do with the blocking of the social Private GSMmedia applications such as Whatsapp, IMO and skype.

Africell and Qcell have both made it clear that they are not responsible for the social media services and have not done anything to block access by the users in The Gambia as is being experienced now by subscribers. Continue reading
