After a long break in the Lower Niumi U-20 tournament, actions will resume on Saturday with Barra Youth Football academy facing Bolton F.C in their first encounter of the tournament.
While on Sunday, young Guigi will lock horns with Rangers at Essau Lower Basic School Grounds.

Alhagie Jammeh, the coordinator of the L/Niumi U-20 tournament disclosed that, staging of this tournament in the area is geared towards complementing the district sports committee’s effort as well as creating opportunities for raw talents to showcase their skills which could help them to be identified by teams in the higher leagues.
Mr. Jammeh noted that developing grassroot football is important bedrock which can breed future players in the likes of the Rooneys, Christiano Ronaldos etc.
L/Niumi U20 nawettan coordinator expressed his satisfaction about the level of talent displayed and the footballer’s high sense of discipline in the tournament.
“So far things are progressing smoothly and teams are accepting defeat in good faith. No problem and I think that’s the beauty of everything” Said Alhagie Jammeh.
