The authorities on Thursday evening released ex-Lieutenant Momodou Alieu Bah of the Gambia Armed Forces from the Maximum Security Wing at Mile Two Central Prison.
The ex-military officer was arrested and detained shortly after the coup plot masterminded by a former Chief of Defence Staff, Colonel Ndure Cham, was foiled by soldiers loyal to the regime, including the former Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Lang Tombong Tamba.
