This reporter spoke to some workers who claimed that work has stopped and that they are daily wage workers and any day they failed to work, they will not be paid.
According to workers who spoke to this reporter, the consultancy firm (UNITECH) and the Construction Company (Kharafi and Sons) are the parties that are responsible for progress in the work at the site. The workers said they do not see the equipment and personnel of UNITECH at the work site and that construction work has since not been taking place. They would want this reporter to find out why.
The workers are very concerned that if the authorities do not solve the problem as soon as possible they would suffer a great deal since they would not be paid.

Editor’s Note
The President has removed Lamin Bojang and has transferred the Works portfolio under his control. March is just around the corner and the rainy season is not far off. Foroyaa will contact UNITECH and Kharafi and Sons to confirm whether or not UNITECH has indeed withdrawn its equipment and personnel and whether that is the problem which is causing a delay in the construction process.
